Bonds cannot benefit from better US inflation data |

Markets: Fixed Income On Wednesday, global bonds couldn’t really benefit from the better than expected US inflation data as stronger equities drove prices back down. In the euro zone, the data played no role of importance, although weak demand for the Italian bond auctions may have been a negative. Curve-wise, the US yield curve continued to flatten, while the European yield curve shifted sharply higher in a parallel fashion.
