Unaccustomed pressure against oil |

So far, growth in Chinese demand has definitely supported the oil price on its way up to the current level. However, on Whit Monday the market saw unaccustomed risk in connection with developments in the world's second-largest consumer. Chinese oil imports fell in April for the first time in eighteen months. The news coincides with speculation on the consequences on the market of the weekend's earthquake in the Sichuan province.
